Brenda Nishimura DDS, FAGD, MAGD
Dr. Nishimura is a Fellow and Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. She is a Mentor of the Kois Center, a center that advances the education of dentists through scientifically and clinically proven techniques. She received her DDS, Doctor of Dental Surgery, degree at Case Western Reserve University in 1984 and her BS, Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University in 1980.
Dr. Nishimura is an Oral Health and Wellness Specialist. She is a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, Alliance for Independent Dentists, Wellness Dentistry Network, American Academy of Oral System Health and American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry. She has completed her Preceptorship in the the Bale and Doneen Method for the Prevention of Heart Disease and Stroke, Mini-Residency in Sleep Dental Medicine, and the Pankey Institute Continuum.
Dr. Brenda Nishimura is married with three children. Her outside interests include family time, violin, Icelandic horse riding, golf, bridge and yoga.
Dr. Matthew Kiernan DMD
Dr. Kiernan is a member of Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s class of 2022, graduating Magna Cum Laude with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Dr Kiernan, son of Dr. Nishimura, receives his continuing education at the Kois Center, as well as participates in his local Spears Study Group.
Dr. Kiernan grew up in Lexington, and attended Northeastern University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2017
Dr. Kiernan, in order to provide the most up to date and advance care for his patients offers Salivary Diagnostic Testing , which identifies the specific causes for gum inflammation and tooth decay, CBCT analysis for Airway and TMJ issues, Dexis Transillumination for early detection of tooth decay, and identifying fractures without radiation. Inman Aligner, which is a faster and less expensive option to Invisalign ; Cerec Crowns , with which crowns can be made in a single visit; and Cari-free products to prevent tooth decay and resolve gum inflammation.
Dr Kiernan's outside interests include spending time with family, golfing and exercising.
Dr. Won Kyung (Christina) Kim, Periodontist
Dr. Kim is a Board-certified Periodontist. She completed her periodontal residency at Tufts University after receiving dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completing Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Lutheran medical center.
Dr. Kim serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she enjoys teaching and interacting with dental students. Dr. Kim currently works in several private offices to provide periodontal treatments.
She specializes in gum grafts, crown lengthening, surgery, bone grafts, dental implants, and sinus lift. Dr. Kim enjoys meeting and forming relationships with new patients and she makes them feel comfortable in a dental chair.. Kim is compassionate, caring, gentle, honest, and easy to approach. She is a mother of two beautiful daughters. Dr. Kim likes to spend time with her family and she enjoys going to beaches around Boston.

Kim Pastena, LDA
Office Manager
Kim has been a licensed dental assistant since 2008 and brings years of dedication, experience and compassion to her role as Office Manager. She received her formal training at the Bryman Institute in Brighton, where she earned her dental assisting certificate. Kim is also certified in CPR, Radiology, OSHA and HIPAA.
Kim is passionate about helping patients understand how their oral and overall health are connected. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and is committed to making sure every person feels welcome, comfortable and well cared for during their dental visit.
Outside of work, Kim loves spending time with her son, Jackson and creating new fun memories together She also cooking, gardening and swimming are just a few of her hobbies she does in her spare time.
Kerrin DeMassi, RDH
Kerrin is a board certified Dental Hygienist. She has been with our practice since June 2024. She received her bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from the University North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she graduated in 2020 with the highest honors. She previously practice in Charlotte NC where she lived with her husband before moving back home to Massachusetts.
Kerrin provides excellent clinical care for her patients in a compassionate way. Her goal is to help all of her patients achieve optimal oral and overall health so that they can live and enjoy their lives to the fullest. When she is not in the office, Kerrin enjoys traveling, pilates, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Casey Aiello, RDH
Casey began working as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2009 after graduating from the Middlesex Dental Hygiene Program. Prior to that, she received her bachelor's degree from Bryant College in 2001. Whether she is performing a cleaning, educating a patient, or just making an anxious patient feel comfortable, Casey enjoys coming to work every day knowing that she will be making a positive difference in the patient’s oral and overall health.
Casey is also an adjunct clinic instructor at the MCPHS Dental Hygiene Clinic and is pursuing her master's in dental Hygiene Education. When she is not at work, she is busy spending time with husband Joe, her 2 girls Avery & Mikayla and many crazy pets. She enjoys reading, movies, hanging out with friends, Jazzercise and going to her lake house in NH.
Ashlyn Markarian, LDA
Ashlyn became a member of our team January of 2022, she has more than a decade of experience in the world of dentistry. Starting her career as a registered dental assistant she graduated from Everest career institute in 2012, Ashlyn has experience in both General dentistry and Pediatric dentistry. After a few years, she decided to branched into the administrative side of dental, working as a treatment and financial coordinator and an insurance coordinator. Ashlyn is OSHA, CPR and HIPAA certified.
She and husband, Daniel, got married in June 2019 and live in Woburn with their sweet 5 year old rescue dog, Princess Leia. In her free time, she loves hanging out with her loved ones, shopping and traveling.
Tayla Lucchese LDA
Tayla has been a licensed Dental assistant since 2014 graduating from Porter and Chester Institute. Starting her career in pediatrics, then moving in general dentistry. She has experience with both children and adults.Tayla enjoys doing lab work most in the office and perfecting her techniques. Listening to patients' problems and concerns, Tayla always finds a way to try and make any patient feel at ease. Greeting you with a smile, and having a positive attitude, she strives to make any experience at Lexington Dental care a great one. Tayla is also certified in CPR, OSHA and HIPAA.
In her free time, Tayla is most happy spending time with her dog Melo, family and friends and attending work out classes. Born and raised in Woburn playing sports throughout her childhood, Tayla loves going to sporting events or watching any Boston sports team. Having a foundation in remembrance of her brother, Tayla and her family are also dedicated to raising awareness on addiction and planning fundraisers.
